Obligation!

Universe is under no obligation to assure your wellbeing at any point in time. 

Parents are under no obligation to ensure your wellbeing either, after certain time. 

But both do care for you, in their own way, as long as they’re around. 

So, you certainly have an obligation to at least respect them, if not care for them!
